How it works:

1. Filter Cartridge: Inside the pitcher, there is a replaceable filter cartridge made of activated carbon and sometimes other materials like ion exchange resin;
2. Filling: You fill the top reservoir of the pitcher with tap water;
3. Filtration: The water passes through the filter cartridge, where contaminants are trapped and removed;
4. Storage: The filtered water collects in the lower part of the pitcher, ready to be poured and consumed.
